Intro Yoga Classes


Mindful Living is one in a series of three Hatha Yoga classes suitable for anyone age four and above including expectant mothers. People with restricted mobility can also take part in the Mindful Living class. Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.

 Mindful Living incorporates the beginning of breath work (pranayama) and mindfulness, leading to distance between you and the constant chatter in the mind. This distance between you and your mind will lead to a reduction in stress levels, anxiety and worry leading to an overall sense of health and wellbeing.


INTRO Body Rewrite relieves physical stress and tiredness, strengthens the joints and muscles and rejuvenates the body after periods of inactivity. The practices in this class will lubricate the joints and bring suppleness to the body.

We will also be doing practices to condition the spine. The spine is the most important part of the body in yoga, in modern science it is where neuro- sensory system is held.
This class will have you focusing on movement and breath, and will take you out of your mind and in to the present moment. The breath work will leave you feeling calm and relaxed.

Studies have shown that yoga reprogrammes the information held in our cells. As we become more conscious, rather than react to life situations as you always have, you will find yourself having more choice over your feelings and actions, leaving you more in control of your life.

INTRO Energy

INTRO Inner Energy is one of a three part series culminating in a full practice called Upa Yoga. It is suitable for anyone 7 years and above including expectant mothers. Children below 12 years must be accompanied by an adult.

The Hatha Yoga INTRO series are introductory practices aimed at bringing alignment between the thoughts, emotions and energy body. This alignment is what leads to peace and harmony and a sense of grounding within.

Within the human system, the energy flows along 72,000 pathways called nadis. At the joints, the nadis meet and form nodes, making the joints storehouses of energy. Upa Yoga activates this energy and also lubricates the joints, creating an instant sense of alertness and liveliness.
INTRO Inner Energy works on activating the root of the spine (muladara chakra). The nuero-sensory system flows through the spine, and in yoga it is considered as the most important part of the body.

This practice will balance the inner energies and bring suppleness and strength to the body.
