Yogasanas are a way of aligning the inner system and adjusting it to the celestial geometry, becoming in sync with existence.

In our Beginner’s Yogasanas workshop, you will learn a series of 21 asanas (postures) over the course of 4 sessions @ 2.5 hours.

Workshop Details: (Total = 10 hours)

Sessions 1 & 2: Tuesday, August 26: 7.30 – 10.00 AM & 4.30 – 7.00 PM
Sessions 3 & 4: Wednesday, August 27: 7.30 – 10.00 AM & 4.30 – 7.00 PM
Location: Equity Square Plaza – 3085 Hurontario St., Suite 216, Mississauga (across from the Cooksville GO Station).

Driving Access & Parking: There is construction on Hurontario St, so you cannot turn left into the plaza if driving southeast of Hillcrest Ave. In that case, go straight on Kirwin Ave. and turn right into the plaza. Drive up the ramp to the “2nd Floor Offices” and park near the plaza doors.

*** All 4 sessions are mandatory to learn the entire sequence and equip you to practice safely on your own. ***

This workshop is suitable for anyone in good health that is aged 14 and above. No prior experience of yoga is necessary – the practices are suitable for all levels.

Precautions

  • Not suitable for pregnant women or those trying to conceive

  • Not suitable for those with serious back problems.

  • People who have had surgery within the last 6 months, have back, neck, leg or hip problems or have had an artificial joint replacement, please consult a doctor before registering.

  • Some postures are not suitable for those with an active hernia.

Please note: The price above is for group workshops (minimum of 4 people). A private workshop in your home is $475 per person (1 to 3 people) or $450 each in our studio. 

Description

The word asana literally means a posture. Out of the innumerable asanas a body can assume, 84 have been identified as Yogasanas, through which one can transform the body and mind into a possibility for ultimate well-being. In this beginner’s Yogasanas program, we will be taking you through 22 asanas.

Yogasanas are not exercises, but rather very subtle processes to manipulate one’s energy in a particular direction.

In an untrained state, the human body is a constant manifestation of various levels of compulsiveness. By consciously forming the body into a certain posture, one creates a conducive passage for energy flow that can elevate one’s consciousness.

Yogasanas are a way of aligning the inner system and adjusting it to the celestial geometry, thereby becoming in sync with the existence and naturally achieving a chemistry of healthfulness, joyfulness, blissfulness, and above all, balance.
